Removal fills the area with surrounding colors and works best on small watermarks over simple backgrounds. It is not AI reconstruction of hidden content; complex backgrounds may show artifacts. Select no more than 25% of the image at once.
Supports photos up to 30 MB and 12 megapixels. Large photos are resized proportionally so neither width nor height exceeds 2,048 pixels. For example, a 4,000 × 3,000 photo is saved at 2,048 × 1,536 pixels. Smaller photos are not enlarged. Downloads use the dimensions shown on screen. Undo supports the last three edits.
Your original file is unchanged. Animated images become still images and camera metadata may be removed.
Before removing a small image area
Use images you created or have permission to edit. Select a small area on a simple background, apply the change and inspect it closely.
The tool fills with nearby colors. It cannot recover the hidden original content, so complex textures or large areas may leave artifacts.
